A letter from the Brooks family...

As we move into the final weeks of the 2024 construction season, we would like to take a moment to thank you for the contribution that you have made to the success of Brooks Construction. Since its founding in 1909 by our great grandfather, John Foster Brooks, the company has manufactured and laid down millions of tons of asphalt, finished tens of thousands of square feet of concrete, and laid thousands of miles of pipe. Additionally, uncounted cubic feet of earth have been moved, thousands of pieces of equipment repaired, and over 115 years of quality work have helped to dramatically improve the infrastructure of northern Indiana. How things have changed in those 115 years! But one thing that hasn’t changed since 1909 is the quality of Brooks’ work and the quality of Brooks’ employees. Without your hard work, and that of employees like you, none of Brooks Construction Company’s success would be possible. We sincerely thank you for the contributions that you have made and hopefully will continue to make in the coming years.

In addition to thanking you for your fine work, we are excited to invite you to celebrate the company’s 115th anniversary and your personal contributions to the company. In February, you and your spouse* will enjoy a four-day company-paid vacation. Selection for this trip was based on several criteria. Those invited are required to be actively working as of November 1, 2024, with prospects and intentions of working the 2025 construction season with Brooks Construction. Employees who are subject to seasonal layoff are eligible, but employees who have been terminated, retired, or have resigned as of March 5, 2025 are not. Eligible employees must also have at least 10 years of full-time, unbroken service to the company as of May 31, 2025, OR be a manager or supervisor actively working as of November 1, 2024, with at least 2 years of full-time, unbroken service to the company in a management or supervisory role by May 31, 2025. Managers and supervisors also have to meet at least two of the following three criteria in order to be invited: (1) has responsibility for hiring and firing, or supervising two or more people a majority of the time, (2) is responsible for the acquisition, deployment, and/or results of critical company resources, tools, and/or proprietary information, and (3) regularly makes significant decisions affecting the quality of our products, tools, services, and/or proprietary information and the profitability of the company.  An invitation is offered strictly at the discretion of Margi Brooks and Andrew Brooks.

We don’t know what the future will bring, but it is our sincere hope that Brooks Construction Company will continue to flourish and trips like the upcoming one will be offered in the future. Your continued contributions and dedication to quality, safety, teamwork, and integrity will enable the perpetuation of this tradition.

In the meantime, please accept our deep gratitude for what you have given to the company. We look forward to a fun-filled, fantastic time in Mexico with you!

Sincerely,

Andrew Brooks & Margi Brooks
